Frankfurt (14 January 2016) – We would like to inform you about an update to the index guide which refers to the extension of the universe of the Market Vectors Global Rare Earth/Strategic Metals Index. Beginning with the next quarterly review in March, Shanghai-listed companies that are trading via Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect will be eligible for the index.

The application of the enhanced selection rules commences with the forthcoming March review. Review results will be announced on 11 March and as a result of the enhanced coverage, MVIS expects a higher review component turnover than usual, resulting in both additions to and deletions from the index. The index will be rebalanced on 18 March. All changes will become effective on the following trading day.
