1.2 Investable Universe

Old

Securities must meet the following requirements to be included in the investable universe. If composite country volume data exists, it will be used to identify the investable index universe: For securities that are currently not included in the index:

• foreign room (or shares available to foreign investors) of at least 10% and
• at least 0.25 million shares traded per month over the last six months at the current quarter and at the previous two quarters. For securities already in the index the following applies:
• foreign room (or shares available to foreign investors) of at least 5% and
• at least 0.20 million shares traded per month over the last six months at the current quarter and at the previous two quarters.

New

Securities must meet the following requirements to be included in the investable universe. If composite country volume data exists, it will be used to identify the investable index universe: For securities that are currently not included in the index:

• foreign room (or shares available to foreign investors) of at least 10% and
• at least 0.25 million shares traded per month over the last six months at the current quarter and at the previous two quarters. For securities already in the index the following applies:
• foreign room (or shares available to foreign investors) of at least 5% and
• at least 0.20 million shares traded per month over the last six months at the current quarter and at the previous two quarters.

A stock excluded from the investable universe on the basis of foreign ownership criteria may be replaced by its depositary receipts, provided that all MarketVector™ Investable Global Equity Index inclusion criteria are satisfied, with the exception of the local listing requirement.
